Gindelalm
What to expect
Starting from Hausham, the trail ascends through shaded forests to the Huberspitz and leads to the Gindelalm area, home to three inviting alpine huts where we can rest and enjoy local Bavarian cuisine. If we feel like it, we can continue upwards to reach the Gindelalmschneid ridge, which provides sweeping vistas of the Bavarian lowlands and, on clear days, even as far as Munich. From Gindelalm, the path gently descends through forests and meadows towards Schliersee, concluding the hike by the picturesque lake that invites for a swim.

Fitness |
Easy – requires basic fitness yet no prep needed. |
Difficulty |
Easy hiking trail – small path covered with roots and stones at times. There is no exposed parts and fear of heights should not be a problem. |
Overall |
Easy. Especially suitable if you have never been to the Alps before or are unsure about your fitness. |
