Geierstein & Fockenstein
What to expect
We start on a hiking trail through the forest to the summit of Geierstein (1,491 m), offering panoramic views over the Isar valley. Continuing along the ridge, we reach Fockenstein (1,564 m), where expansive vistas of the Tegernsee and surrounding mountains await. We take a well-deserved break at the Aueralm, a traditional alpine hut known for its local cuisine. The descent leads through the Wachselmoos area and past Zwergelberg, eventually arriving in the lakeside town of Bad Wiessee, where we can take a swim in lake Tegernsee before heading back to Munich.
