What to expect

This scenic circular hike leads via the Lenggrieser Hütte to three panoramic peaks in the Lenggries mountains. The route starts in Lenggries and initially climbs through forest and along alpine pasture paths to the Lenggrieser Hütte. From there, the trail continues up to Seekarkreuz, where an impressive panorama of the Bavarian Prealps and the Karwendel range opens up. Particularly rewarding is the following ridge section from Brandkopf to Ochsenkamp: the trail mostly follows the narrow ridge with a few steeper passages and requires sure-footedness and a good head for heights, though it is not technically very difficult. From Ochsenkamp, the route descends again through alpine meadows and forest paths back toward Lenggries.

Travel

What to bring

• Hiking shoes, rucksack, waterproof rain jacket (& rain trousers), hiking poles
• Sun protection: cream, hat, sunglasses
• Water (1.5-2 liter) & packed lunch, snacks

Cancellation

Day hikes are non-refundable but can be rescheduled to another date. A tour will only be cancelled due to weather in the case of an official weather warning. In case of unfavorable weather, the route may be adjusted to the conditions. Alternatively, you may move your booking to another date. If the tour is cancelled, you can cancel your booking free of charge. Any costs incurred in connection with participation in the hike (e.g. travel or accommodation) are not reimbursable.
