What to expect

This varied mountain hike combines impressive nature, an exciting summit ascent, and magnificent views of the Kaiser Mountains. The route starts at the Tatzelwurm waterfalls and leads first through forest on steep mountain trails up toward the Brünnstein. In the upper section the terrain becomes rockier, and the path continues along narrower trails to the summit structure of the Brünnstein, where a few easy scrambling sections have to be negotiated. The panoramic summit offers beautiful views of the Kaiser mountains and the surrounding Alps. We then descend to the Brünnsteinhaus for a relaxed lunch break before continuing down on forest and alpine paths to Oberaudorf.

Travel

Start: 8:30 am at Munich main station

End: approx. 7:15 pm at Munich main station

What to bring

• Hiking shoes, rucksack, waterproof rain jacket (& rain trousers), hiking poles
• Sun protection: cream, hat, sunglasses
• Water (2-3 liter) & snacks

Cancellation

Day hikes are non-refundable but can be rescheduled to another date. A tour will only be cancelled due to weather in the case of an official weather warning. In case of unfavorable weather, the route may be adjusted to the conditions. Alternatively, you may move your booking to another date. If the tour is cancelled, you can cancel your booking free of charge. Any costs incurred in connection with participation in the hike (e.g. travel or accommodation) are not reimbursable.
