Blauberge Traverse

What to expect

The Blauberge traverse is one of the most demanding and beautiful hikes in the Tegernsee region. It begins at the Siebenhütte and first leads through the impressive Wolfsschlucht, where several sections are secured with cables, up to the Blaubergalm, where we will take a relaxed lunch break. From there, we follow the scenic ridge along the border over Blaubergschneid and Blaubergskopf to Halserspitz, enjoying stunning views of the Karwendel mountains along the way. From the summit, the route descends steeply at first into the Bärensteiggraben before continuing via Weitenbachkopf back to the Siebenhütte.

Travel

Start: 5:30 am at Munich main station

End: latest at 9:00 pm at Munich main station

What to bring

• Hiking shoes, rucksack, waterproof rain jacket (& rain trousers), hiking poles
• Sun protection: cream, hat, sunglasses
• Water (2-3 liter), lunch & snacks

Cancellation

Day hikes are non-refundable but can be rescheduled to another date. A tour will only be cancelled due to weather in the case of an official weather warning. In case of unfavorable weather, the route may be adjusted to the conditions. Alternatively, you may move your booking to another date. If the tour is cancelled, you can cancel your booking free of charge. Any costs incurred in connection with participation in the hike (e.g. travel or accommodation) are not reimbursable.
