Intro to Snowshoeing

What to expect

Escape to the Tuxer Alps for a long winter weekend at the cosy Meißnerhaus near Innsbruck. No previous snowshoeing experience is needed – we’ll start with a half-day introduction covering the basics of snowshoeing as well as essential avalanche awareness and rescue skills. We’ll then put what we’ve learned into practice on two snowshoe tours, exploring the beautiful winter mountains around the hut.

Our days in the snow will be complemented by optional yoga sessions in the morning and afternoon, held in the Meißnerhaus’ own yoga room – a chance to stretch, unwind and enjoy a slower moment before or after our mountain adventures.

The Meißnerhaus is easily accessible from Munich, making this an ideal long weekend in the mountains. Snowshoes and other equipment can be rented through your local Alpine Club, and I’m also happy to help you organise equipment rental in Munich.
