Winter-Hiking in Allgäu

What to expect

Our base for the week is a comfortable, family-run hotel surrounded by nature just outside Immenstadt, with both single and double rooms available. It’s an ideal place to come back to after a winter day outside, with a spacious spa area featuring three saunas, an infrared cabin, two cosy relaxation rooms with panoramic windows and an outdoor area where you can cool off in the fresh Allgäu air.

Depending on the weather and snow conditions, our routes will take us from gentler walks through the valleys to more adventurous winter gorges and longer days on higher plateaus, with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. No special winter hiking experience is needed, just a good level of fitness and enthusiasm for spending time outdoors.

In the evenings, we’ll have dinner together in the hotel’s own restaurant. The kitchen has a strong focus on regional Allgäu and Bavarian cuisine, combining local specialities with seasonal dishes – just the kind of hearty food to look forward to after a day out in the winter mountains.
