Tegernseer Hütte

What to expect

This rewarding point-to-point hike begins from Bayerwald with a steady climb through forest and meadows to the scenic Sonnbergalm. It continues with a steeper ascent to the spectacularly located Tegernseer Hütte, nestled between the Roßstein and Buchstein peaks. After enjoying panoramic views and a break at the hut, the descent winds through forested paths beneath the dramatic Leonhardstein and ends in the village of Kreuth.

Travel

Start: 6:45 am at Munich main station

End: approx. 8 pm at Munich main station

What to bring

• Hiking shoes, rucksack, waterproof rain jacket (& rain trousers), hiking poles
• Sun protection: cream, hat, sunglasses
• Water (1.5-2 liter) & snacks

Service included

• Guided hike by a qualified and insured UIMLA Mountain Leader
• Transport from Munich main station and back

Cancellation

Day hikes are non-refundable but can be rescheduled to another date. A tour will only be cancelled due to weather in the case of an official weather warning. In case of unfavorable weather, the route may be adjusted to the conditions. Alternatively, you may move your booking to another date. If the tour is cancelled, you can cancel your booking free of charge. Any costs incurred in connection with participation in the hike (e.g. travel or accommodation) are not reimbursable.
