What to expect
We begin with a steady ascent through forested trails and alpine meadows, offering expansive views of the Chiemgau Alps. After reaching Staudacher Alm, the trail becomes teeper eventually leading us to the summit of Hochgern, where we enjoy a panoramic vista all the way to the Berchtesgaden Alps. A well-earned break awaits us on the way down at the scenic Staudacher Alm, perfect for lunch. The return route continues down via the picturesque Schnappenkirche, completing a rewarding and varied circular hike.
